Devotionals

This short series of devotionals is more than a glimpse into who God is. It is also a window into how knowing certain aspects of His character can change the lives of people who love Him.

God, Discover His Character

Because God is All-Powerful

Warren Willis shared the gospel at UC Berkeley 200 times without seeing someone pray and receive Christ. Then Bill Bright said he was coming to Berkeley with 500 people to share Christ with students and blitz the campus with the gospel. Watch what happens to students on campus and to Warren’s faith.

Watch this video: Invisible Forces

God used his mighty power to raise Christ Jesus from the dead and seat him at God’s right hand in heaven. That same power, the power that raised Christ from the dead, is at work in us to accomplish more than we can imagine.

God is more powerful than anything in the universe.

He has the power to:

  • Create anything from nothing.
  • Sustain everything he creates.
  • Judge sin and rebellion.

God uses his power on purpose to accomplish His plans for the nations through us, His children. God gives us the power to:

  • Conquer evil forces.
  • Live a holy life.
  • Live in our weakness.
  • Proclaim the gospel.
  • Fulfill His plans for our lives.

Ephesians 1:19-20: I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 3:20: Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
